Players will be able to experience Dark Souls 2 this October by participating in the closed beta, according to publisher Namco Bandai. The beta will be available on October 5th on the PlayStation 3. Namco Bandai said that players should log onto the official Dark Soul 2 Facebook page for details regarding registration. The details will be available on the Facebook page on September 5th. Players in North America and Europe will be able to access the beta. Namco Bandai also stated that for this beta, players would play in a new area of the game, not the same area that was available to players at the E3 press conference. Namco Bandai also said that this beta would feature extraordinary enemy encounters, insane challenges, and extreme difficulties brought to players by the great developers at FromSoftware. According to Jerffrey Matulef, who played the demo at E3, he hopes that this beta will impress players with the new reactive enemy AI, as well as a new engine.
