Summer Movie Lackluster

Last summer I was in awe. The Dark Knight Rises had released, it was my first time in a movie theatre in over two years. After watching the Hangover Part II, I decided no movie was worth my money until Christopher Nolan's epic trilogy came to a end. DVDs, Blu-Rays and On Demand services were how I got my movie fix for the two year gap. July 16, 2012 the day I've been waiting for, for over two years. My friends and I packed into a crowded Bayonne movie theatre to watch the movie. Even though living up to The Dark Knight (my all time favorite movie) was going to be nearly impossible, I still enjoyed every second of the movie, *spoiler alert* when I had thought Bruce Wayne killed himself in an attempt to save Gotham, I became overly emotionally. His line to James Gordon about anyone being batman struck a nerve in me and I loved it. I watched that movie three days in a row. The avengers had also came out making the summer of 2012 box office one, if not the most profitable quarter for movie sales in history.

Fast forward to this year, where are the hits?, the movies that fans crave and yearn for. This summers movies like Man of Steel, Despicable Me 2 and Monsters University have made some noise and buzz but lack the punch of 2012s. 4 of this years 7 top earning movies, Iron Man 3, Fast and Furious 6, Star Trek Into Darkness and Oz the Great and Powerful were all released before the ending of May, falling in the Spring release window. With box office flops like Lone Ranger, Turbo, RIPD, and The Internship, too name a few make summer of 2013 quite lackluster. 2014 summer flicks like Guardians of the Galaxy, Fast Seven, Planet of the Apes 2, 22 Jump Street, Ninja Turtles, Transformers 4, the May release of Xmen Days of Futures Past are sure to sweep in the money. Don't even begin to discuss the 2015 release of Star Wars 7, Superman/Batman and Avengers 2. Summer of 2013 had more lackluster than blockbuster.

Gaming has come a long way from when I was young. Sitting in front of the T.v. Playing Super Mario Bros. on the Super Nintendo. Over the years gaming has evolved into what you see today, from consoles to IOS games/androids to P.C. And Mac, but with so much change there's one thing that always stays the same and that's the gamers needs. Us as gamers all want the same-thing  to play a game and have it blow our minds. With the next-gen consoles just around the corner you could say that's ways going to happen. Sony and Microsoft revealed many exclusives for there consoles. If law evading and hacking is your thing then watchdog is the game for, or maybe Futuristic guns and kicking alien ass is your fortay. Which ever game you decide, both companies has a variety of visually breath taking and mind blowing games that will be released on launch day. So here my question, What game are you looking forward to playing and why? Leave your comments below.

If your like me then what you want from your next-gen consoles is something thats fast, reliable, and have really good graphics. The games also play a key part in what makes a console the perfect gaming experience( we'll leave that for the next blog ). So from what I've heard about those next-gen consoles, there shaping up to be outstanding.
From the Xbox one which has:

CPU: AMD 8 core APU (2 Quad-Core Jaguar modules)
Storage capacity: 500 GB (HDD)
Memory: 8 GB DDR3 (5 GB available to games)
Display: Video output formats
Graphics: AMD Radeon variant (inside of APU)
Sound: 7.1 surround sound

To the PS4 which has:

CPU: Semi-custom 8-core AMD x86-64 CPU (integrated into APU)
Storage capacity: Hard drive, 500GB (user upgradeable)
Memory: 8 GB GDDR5 (unified)
Display: Video output formats
Graphics: Semi-custom AMD Radeon GPU (integrated into APU)

What can I say, my 2014 will be brutally awesome.
Which Next-Gen console will you be getting and why? Leave your comments below
