Jonathan Arias 09/13/13 Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has announced players that began their quest on Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on the PS3 will be able to play the PS4 version's beta for free. A Realm Reborn is a re-launched version of the medieval fantasy MMORPG. Square Enix won't be providing exclusive content for the PS4 version. However, producer and director Naoki Yoshida, said in an interview that the PS4 will provide gamers with a wider range of interface options. A recent update has also confirmed that players will be able to carry over character data when transitioning from the PS3 to the PS4. Migrating your character will not force you to change servers since PS4, PS3, and PC players all share servers in the game. The beta for the PS4 version of A Realm Reborn will launch alongside the PS4 in Japan on February 22nd. Details about migrating your character will be announced at a later date. |
