Written by Adriana Morales. Media Molecule's announcement at GamesCom last year was that of a new game set to release in October, 2013 created by the same team who brought LittleBigPlanet to life. This new game titled "Tearaway" is a quirky, little interactive world where you can spot the influence of the LBP creators almost immediately. In this world however, created for the PS Vita, players have one mission and one mission only - to play the part of messenger as either male character, Iota, or female character, Atoi; in an attempt to deliver a unique message to the player. That means you! As shown during the gameplay demo at GamesCom, player's will be able to utilize practically all of the PS Vita features. One very cool feature will be located at the PS Vita's rear touch panel which, when player's push their fingers up "through" the ground (aka the touch panel), they will be able to interact with the environment and even enemies! Fun perks such as cutting paper crowns or giving characters new skins are also made possible through Tearaway. The game looks cute and seems perfect for those with an imagination that is as whimsical as the game is portrayed. We love how Media Molecule doesn't stick to game genres that are mainstream but instead, choose to think outside of the box when creating their virtual worlds. Tearaway looks like it'll provide hours of fun and discovery for all! |
