At one point in time, Nicholas Cage was going to join the action star cast of The Expendables 3, but now this role has been taken by Kelsey Grammer. Kelsey Grammer is currently ending a deal to play a character named Bonaparte. Bonaparte is an ex-mercenary who aids the Expendables in their mission. While Grammer was best known for his role as Dr. Frasier Crane, Hollywood has now made Grammer a tough guy for this film. Grammer has already acted like a tough guy in a canceled Starz series called Boss. Michael Bay took a liking to this show, which then led to Grammer being cast as a villain in Transformers: Age of Extinction. Grammer joins a spectacular Expendables 3 cast, which already includes Sly Stallone, Jason Statham, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Terry Crews, Antonio Banderas, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Wesley Snipes.1 Grammer and Stallone just recently worked together in a film called Reach Me. Sly Stallone is pretty much involved in every action movie. Grammer is also working on a new series with Martin Lawrence. The series is being developed by Lionsgate, who is also responsible for releasing the Expendables films. Grammer also has a contract with the UTA and Brian Sher's Category 5. |
