Need For Speed , a beloved game franchise that has been around since 1994, has finally made the leap onto the big screen. EA and DreamWorks will work with brothers George and John Gatins who have penned the script, and director Scott Waugh to bring the high octane video game into reality. The Need For Speed franchise has always been known for exotic cars, high speeds, and close call police pursuits. This combination has produced one of the most successful video game franchises of all time. As of October 2009, over 140 million copies have been sold, with a new edition currently in development. According to the official movie website the movie will follow Tobey Marshall, played by Aaron Paul, as an ex-con street racer. Tobey enters a cross country race in order to seek revenge on his former partner who framed him for a crime he did not commit. Once his ex partner hears that Tobey is coming for him, he places a huge bounty on his head as the race begins. Filming for the movie has taken place throughout Georgia, Alabama, and is currently being shot in Detroit. Others actors who have been signed onto the movie such as Imogen Poots, Dominic Cooper, and Kid Cudi, but some of their roles in the movie are still unknown.
