As expected with anything regarding comic book film announcement these days, rumors are quickly to follow. According to the website Batman on Film, several sources have told them that Warner Bros. is looking for an older middle-aged actor to play the role of Batman in the Man of Steel sequel. The site suggest that the studio is looking for an actor in his mid-40’s. It is apparent by this rumor that Batman, in the sequel, will be a veteran with a number of years under his belt to the somewhat rookie Superman played, by Henry Cavill. The site says that actors such as John Hamm, Jim Caviezel, Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck are being considered for the role. If it is to be believed or true at all, is interesting considering Batman was in his early 40’s following The Dark Knight Rises. But it also brings up questions as to where the Justice League movie will go. Will you have an aged Batman guiding a slightly younger group of superheroes? Will we see a Christian Bale return? We’ll keep you updated on these developments on what is arguably the most anticipated movie of 2015. What do you think of an older Batman? Or would you prefer a younger Batman going toe to toe with Superman? Let us know what you think in the comment section. |
