The Coffin: The writer is Phil Hester and the the artist is Mike Huddleston. The Coffin is basically your old school, black, and white sci-fi movie; only better. Writer, Phil Hester, tells a tale about Dr. Ashar Ahmad and his hope to live forever by having his soul trapped inside a robot. IDW along with Desperado have collected The Coffin into a hardcover 10 Now, if I still haven’t sold you on it James Cameron has optioned The Coffin to make it into a movie. If James Cameron sees something in the story, it must be worth something.

The Walking Dead: Of course, The Walking Dead has to make the list. With a cult following, a television show, and over 100 issues to read, The Walking Dead is an amazing comic. For those of you who are saying that you have seen the show; therefore, you have no need to read the comics you are so very very wrong. The show derives from the comics so much that even someone who has read every issue has a hard time knowing what is coming next.

Crossed: I know there has to be more of you out there like me. The kind who don’t just like to be scared, but those who like to say “wtf” when they turn the page. Crossed isn’t just your average zombie story, Crossed is written by Garth Ennis and illustrated by Jason Burrows. Take your average zombies…make them fast…then make them horny…like really horny and you have the one-of-a-kind story that is created in this comic. The art has some very disturbing splash pages and many messed up panels; therefore, this isn’t for children folks. In fact, I believe you have to be 18 to buy it…the anniversary edition.
