In the newest edition of Saint's Row, you play as the leader of the Saints, who is now the president of the United States. A alien race named Zinyak has invaded the world of Steel port and it's up to you to stop him. You have some interesting weapons at your disposal, including a Inflato-Ray. This weapon inflates a person's head to the point where they explode. Also, you will notice that your character can do a few wrestling moves; one of those moves is a stunner. The Dubstep gun freezes everyone in place and make then dance while you shoot energy bolts into their body. All of the weapons in this game are very exotic and very fun to use, so you should defiantly try them all out. Your character can either roam the world of Steelport or do the missions to advance in the story, and you have some cool powers to use. One of those powers includes the ability to leap across great distances and fly for a short time. The gameplay in this game is very interesting; for instance in one mission you have to hack into a place called Planet Zin, and after you hack it, the cops are right behind you. With all the weapons you have, it's not too hard to take out the cops. Once you take out the cops, Zin's men start showing up, and they can be quite a challenge to take out. After you take out Zin's men, a glowing yellow tire appears in the distance, and the best way to take it out is to use your speed dashing ability. The map on the bottom left side of the screen is done very well. If you are on a mission, your path will be show with blue dots. Also, as you get close to the location, you could see the distance decrease. The movement in the game is pretty fluid, and the powers really give you a boost while playing the game. If you don't want to play the main game, there are plenty of mini games to play. The character customization is really good too; there are plenty of clothes and accessorizes to choose from. As you play this game, you will find that you will explore the world more instead of playing the missions. If a place is too far away, your stamina drains faster, so you are better off switching to a jet instead of going there on foot. Also as you play the game, you can run through tutorials to increase your powers, such as your fire blast power. Out of the all powers you have, the fire blast is far the most fun power to use, as seen in this YouTube video. If you have even seen The Matrix, you will notice that your abilities are similar to Neo. You will also notice that your character makes reference to the movie throughout the fire blast tutorial. Throughout many missions, the jet will become very useful, so be sure to make use of it. Similar to Grand Theft Auto, if you want to use your own car or jet, you have to go to where you stored them. If you want your vehicles or jets right away, you can use your phone to call the vehicle or jet to you, and it will appear right in front of you. This feature saves you a lot of time as well. There are some many fun things to do in this game besides the missions that you will never want to put it down. The weapons are really amazing, and cause lots of damage and destruction. So grab a copy of Saint's Row IV and have some fun with some crafty weapons. |
