Square Enix has comfirmed, in an open letter from the company’s Western CEO Phil Rogers that a sequel to the acclaimed video game has been in development for quite some time. With the first game being critically and financially successful, it was apparent that a sequel to the game was evident. This also coming off the heels of San Diego Comic-Con, where it was confirmed that a comic series from Dark Horse, is being produced. It would take place from the conclusion of the first game and eventually tie-in to the second. There is no announce date for the sequel, but it will be released for the Next-Gen consoles.
